Testing a Call Tree
Testing a Traditional Call Tree
Testing traditional Call Trees require some upfront planning. The Call Tree Manager should ensure that the contact information is valid and uptodate. An obvious test message should be communicted to the second and subsequent tiers of the call tree. Each tier should record the time that they passed the message to the next contact person. All times should be returned to the Call Tree Manager at the end of the test so that a port mortem can be performed and overall Call Tree process reviewed to ensure that it meets communication requirments.
Common failure points
- Incorrect Call Tree information
- Key person dependency failure
